Brioche

Preparation: 10 min

Cooking time: 55 min

INGREDIENTS (6 people)

  • 1 glass whole grain flour
  • 3 tsp skimmed milk
  • 1 organic egg
  • 60g butter
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp baker’s yeast
  • 1 tsp liquid vanilla

PREPARATION

  1. In a bowl, put the yeast in lukewarm milk with sugar, cover the bowl with plastic wrap during 5 min and let the yeast do its job
  2. In a bigger bowl, mix the flour, salt, butter, yeast and egg until you have an elastic dough then cover the bowl with a clean cloth. Let the dough inflate in the oven for 30 min at 40° C. It needs to double yet maybe triple the original size
  3. Put the dough in a mould and put in the oven at 200° during 25 min. Let the brioche becoming lukewarm before unwinding it in a pastry grill. Sprinkle the brioche with powdered sugar before serving
