Various foods have recognized health benefits. Maïa Baudelaire, Nutritionist, Diet Coach, expert in eating habits and founder of her own method gives you some of them.

Probiotics and prebiotics

Probiotics are small living organisms which resets the intestinal flora and improves the immune system. You can find it it yogurts and fermented milks.

Prebiotics such as fruit-oligosaccharides and inulin stimulate the growth of beneficial bacteria in the colon. They are found in fruits and vegetables.

Soy protein

Soy proteins play a role in lowering the blood cholesterol. They are found in tofu and soy milk (tonyu). Warning because soy is an allergen, some people can’t tolerate it.

Omega 3

Although known to help prevent cardiovascular disease, omega 3 is found in fatty fish and fish oil. Here are some fatty fish: salmon, mackerel, herring, anchovies, sardines and trout.


Beta-glucan is a soluble fiber that helps lower blood cholesterol levels found in oats: choose oatmeal for breakfast for example! Add soy milk and a kiwi and youll have the perfect healthy breakfast!


Lutein is a carotenoid (antioxidant) which has a connection with macular degeneration that causes vision loss to the elderly people. Preserve yourself by eating eggs, kiwi, broccoli, spinach and chard leaves…


Also called “superfoods”, berries (goji, acai, cranberry) are a pure concentrate of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. They will boost your body and help fight against fatigue. Try a cure this winter with a small handful a day of those “superfoods”!
