How should you prepare your skin for the sun?

To ensure your skin is properly prepared for sun, we recommend a skin-friendly diet, rich in vitamins and minerals. Here are some tips to prepare for this summer!

Tip no.1: Put colour on your plate!

Colourful fruit and vegetables (yellow, orange, red or green) are full of vitamin C and beta-carotenes. They not only protect your skin but also leave it looking great.

So whenever you can, put carrots, mango, tomatoes, spinach, apricot, pepper, melon, cabbage on your plate. Rich in minerals, vitamins and antioxidants, these foods act as perfect allies to your skin for a long-lasting and golden tan.

Choose fruit and vegetables that are in season for a maximum intake of vitamins.

Tip no. 2: Consume raw vegetables!

Most antioxidant vitamins do not stand up well to heat and light. To optimise your vitamin and mineral intake, we strongly recommend you eat peeled, raw vegetables

Tip no. 3: Long live the fat fish!

Fatty fish are very rich in vitamin A, and antioxidant vitamins that protect skin. They are also fantastic sources of essential fatty acids such as Omega 3 that promote skin regeneration.

Fatty fish include salmon, tuna, sardines, mackerel, herring …

Tip no. 4: Use wheat germ oil whenever you can!

Wheat germ oil is the best possible source of vitamin E – just one tablespoon covers 50% of your daily needs. This vitamin protects the body from oxidative stress which attacks the body’s cells.

So now you have all the tricks to enjoy this summer and to come back from your holidays with a beautiful tan!
