Banana Flan for Diabetics

  • 3 bananas (not too ripe)
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 ml of coconut milk
  • 3 cups of Xylitol
  • 4 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 2 g agar-agar
  • 1 Mixer


  • 1. Heat the coconut milk, gradually reducing the heat while adding agar agar, the vanilla pods and cinnamon. Let it cook for 2 min before removing from the heat.
  • 2. Beat the eggs with the Xylitol then gradually add the warm milk while continuing to whip the mixture.
  • 3. Mix the bananas with the cream cheese and then add the mixture to the milk.
  • 4.  Pour into small ramekins, leaving them to set over night.


This dessert is not only delicious but also suitable for people with diabetes. Xylitol is a sugar substitute, a natural sweetener that has a lower impact on blood sugar levels.
